Nutritious Homemade Syrup
Fruit Juice Syrup Here is a recipe for nutritious breakfast syrup. Using fruit juice instead of refined sugars, tastes just as good without the guilt. 1 1/4 cups fruit juice (apple is a favorite, but even orange juice works well) 1 TBSP cornstarch dash of cinnamon (optional) Mix all ingredients with a wisk in a saucepan. Heat to a boil on medium heat, stirring frequently. Gently boil about 2 minutes. Serve. *You can also add some fresh or frozen fruit with the other ingredients for a healthier, more filling topping. If you use frozen fruit, add a bit more cornstarch to the mix. |
